What is DOR?

Can my teenager or child join me on the trip?
Yes, children can accompany you on this trip; however, you are liable for their well-being at all times.
Is DOR only open to people of African Descent?
All are welcome to embark on this journey with the understanding that all of the rituals, practices, and sites of “no return” are rooted in the experiences of People of African Descent.
Can I stay a few days later?
Yes, you are allowed to stay past the arranged time, however, you will be responsible for yourself and all expenses acquired during your extra stay.
I can’t make the trip, can I change my reservations?
Yes, you are able to change your reservations given that the DOR team is given notice according to the Refund Policy. PLEASE SEE REFUND POLICY
Is my reservations package transferable?
Yes it can be transferable but other arrangements such as your flight booking is not transferable.
Will I be responsible for flight booking and arrangements?
No you won’t be responsible for your flight booking and arrangement. Our travel agency will take care of that for you once you make a deposit of 1500 dollars if you want to make payment in installment or 3500 dollars in full.
How many times can I make payment for the trip?
You can make payment 3 times with the initial deposit of 1500 dollars and then other payment in between.
Can I come back again after this trip?
Sure you can come back after this trip should you wish to.
A processing fee of $300 from your initial payment will be charged for cancellations made 30 days or more before the event. There will be no refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of the event, although substitutions may be permitted. Refunds will not be provided for participant who do not attend the event.
A cancellation acknowledgement will be sent within 3 working days and fees refunded within 10 working days, subject to this Refund Policy. Note that circumstances beyond the control of the event organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations
